To the chagrin of many, the summer is reaching its natural end. Most Saskatchewanians become disheartened by the inevitable season change, but I come out of my hibernation. The beast in me awakes and becomes very hungry for competition and training.
This fencing season begins on September 4th, and I’ve been long awaiting the day I can suit up and strive for success. The past season (2012-2013) was the most successful season of my fencing career. This was my first year of fencing on the World level, and not only was I able to get my feet wet and my nose dirty, I was able to place in the top 64 (48th) in Vancouver and in Switzerland I finished 72nd.
